GO Automobiles started its journey a little over twenty years ago with, in the driver's seat, two Car enthusiasts whose initials gave the name to the brand: Prévôt Gilles and Olivier. At the time, the activity was turned towards the production of car replicas. Until the 90s, production is on a small scale.

2000, the creative drive of the PGO Automobiles new team made it possible to present the prototype of a completely new and exciting car at the Paris Motor Show : The Speedster II. The aim was to offer to customers a car with a neo-retro design, but possessing modern features in terms of design, engine and architecture. Thanks to the presentation of this roadster, PGO became a full fledged car manufacturer.

2001, the establishment of PGO Automobiles on a production site of almost 18,000m², near the Pôle Mécanique d'Alès in the Gard department (South of France) was the starting point for the technical development of the Speedster II and for the boom that PGO Automobiles has known in just a few years.

2002, in order to consolidate its development, the company calls upon public investment. In February, the company became listed in the Open Market at the Paris Stock Exchange. Thus the Engineering and Design departments and the Production workshop worked hand in hand to bring the Speedster II to life.

2003, The Speedster is homologated in July 2003. The first deliveries can begin.

2004, already a headliner at the Paris Motor Show, with the Speedster II, the company built up an image of seriousness and acquired a recognised know-how. Saluted by the press at the time for its technical qualities as much as for its aesthetics, the Speedster II was selected the same year to illustrate the official poster of the 15th Coupé & Cabriolet Motor Show.

2005, the arrival of new investors cleared the horizon of the Cévennes-based company. This is not only a metaphor given that its shareholding comes mainly from the Middle East and that its customers are more and more often based beyond the borders, North or South, East or West.
With the aspiration to widen its range of products, it was at the end of the year that the first deliveries of the "Cévennes" took place. Based on an engineering identical to the Speedster II, it comes with a more sporty and modern body, even more exclusive and endearing.

2006, PGO participated to its 4th World Motor Show and presented its automotive jewel: the Beauty, born from a brilliant collaboration with Swarovski.

2007, the technical developments scheduled and the national and international expansion of the sales network are a testimony of an ever strong vitality. PGO goes and meets its customers throughout the world. Indeed, its vehicles correspond to an international client base eager for distinctive and truly extraordinary products. The company confirms its position as a specialist in the creation of original roadsters for all those who have a certain view on driving, between discrete luxury and authentic emotion.

2008, convinced of the need to enlarge its range of vehicles, and not be limited to convertibles, PGO Automobiles decides to propose a “coupé”. The project was launched in March and the car was showed at the Paris Motor show, only seven months after the first drawing. This feat is due to a major evolution of the company: first modeled and carved by hand, the body was subsequently developed entirely by computer, thus combining the french tradition and craftsmanship art to modern technology. Comfortable, bright and vibrant, The Hemera is between a “coupé” and a station wagon. Elegant and refined, with a decidedly urban style, it perpetuates the image of the first two models, the Speedster II and Cevennes.
In May, still determined to move towards more quality, PGO Automobiles obtained ISO 9001 certification. This tool made for an optimized production and monitoring under control also provides the rigor and the requirement expected by customers of the brand.

2009, this year will see the start of production of Hemera, the first customers discovered their car for Christmas. In addition, a major factor for the marketing of vehicles, since August, the entire range benefits from the European Small Series Approval (Directive 2007/46/EC), the sales territory expands naturally and automatically to all 27 countries of the European Union.

2010, the manufacturer opens his Paris showroom, is located in Neuilly sur Seine, close to the Porte Maillot. On 130 square meters it offers a space dedicated to the world of PGO Automobiles.

For over 10 years, there is not a year without PGO Automobiles launches itself new challenges, 2011 will not be an exception...
